We are seeking a Optometrist in Plano, Texas to join our team . As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Your primary focus will be on conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual problems and eye diseases, prescribing corrective lenses or medications as needed, and offering guidance on maintaining eye health. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients’ vision and ocular health.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
Educate patients on proper eye care, the importance of regular eye exams, and preventive measures to maintain optimal vision health.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our electronic health records (EHR) system.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and incorporate best practices into patient care.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Valid state optometry license.
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of ocular diseases and treatment options.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and technology for eye exams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a clinical or retail optometry setting.
- Certification in specialty areas such as pediatric optometry, geriatric optometry, or contact lens fitting.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
