Workers Compensation Claims Analyst
Location: Tarrytown, NY

Job Description:
Independently owned insurance broker based in Westchester County, NY looking for knowledgeable Workers Compensation expert who will be responsible for representing the policy holders/employers in making sure all WC claims are handled in the most efficient and economic means.

The ideal candidate will be someone that understands the proper procedures for addressing a Workers Comp claim including the medical treatments and financial benefits for the injured employee. The candidate needs to have experience controverting a claim with the insurance carrier and Workers Comp board. Extensive knowledge of the various forms and laws surrounding Workers Compensation is a pre-requisite.

This candidate will serve as the workers’ compensation claims authority and will develop and guide claims procedures and policies to optimize the end-to-end adjudication of claims. They must have strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work closely with policy holders. Proficiency with excel is also required.

Duties and Skills:

1. Responsible for reporting all WC claims to State Insurance Fund as well as all carriers for our clients at the company.
2. Develops relationships with Carrier case managers to review, manage, and direct Case Managers to adjudicate claim to the best possible result.
3. Analyze claim data and proactively look for ways to mitigate losses as quickly as possible to enable the Safety Groups to be competitive with their dividends.
4. Work closely with all departments at the company to continuously analyze the loss runs and monitor experience modification rates for all our clients with special attention to our VIP.
5. Licensed in NY
6. Ideally at least 5 years experience with claims

Salary:
Depending on experience & skill
($75,000 – $130,000)
