We are seeking a Actuary in Denver, Colorado to join our team. As an Actuary , you will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing financial risks and uncertainties related to business operations. Your expertise in statistical analysis, financial mathematics, and risk management will be vital in shaping the company’s strategies and ensuring financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment and Management:
- Analyze and model financial risks using statistical techniques and financial theories.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
- Conduct scenario analyses and stress tests to assess potential impacts of various risk factors.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on risk exposures, financial forecasts, and actuarial findings.
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Financial Modeling:
- Design and maintain actuarial models to predict future financial outcomes.
- Perform valuation of insurance liabilities, pensions, and other financial instruments.
- Use statistical software and programming languages to build and refine models.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry practices.
- Prepare documentation and reports required by regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and actuarial standards.
- Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work closely with other departments such as finance, underwriting, and investment to provide actuarial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher qualification is a plus.
- Certification: Completion of actuarial exams and attainment of professional credentials (e.g., ASA, FSA, ACAS, FCAS) from a recognized actuarial organization.
