We are seeking a  Stonemason in Omaha, Nebraska to join our team.  As a Stonemason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing stone structures, including walls, floors, archways, and monuments. Your work will involve interpreting blueprints or drawings, selecting materials, cutting and shaping stones, and ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of finished projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and execute construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate stones and materials based on project requirements.
• Cut, shape, and polish stones using hand tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, and chisels.
• Lay out patterns and foundations using measuring tools, levels, and plumb lines.
• Build and repair stone structures including walls, floors, chimneys, archways, and monuments.
• Ensure structures are built to last by using mortar or other binding agents.
• Repair and restore existing stone structures as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety and building codes regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Stonemason or similar role.
• Proficiency in working with various types of stone and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Attention to detail and precision in cutting and shaping stone.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification or apprenticeship in stonemasonry (preferred but not required).
