State Farm Agency, located in Portland, OR, has an immediate opening for a Receptionist / Front Office – Team Member. No insurance experience is required as we will train the right person with the right attitude. Must be willing to obtain a Property and Casualty license.
The main role is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction. Ideal candidate is a professional with a great attitude and outgoing personality! Someone who has ‘never met a stranger,’ has stellar computer skills, the ability to multi-task, works well with their peers, and has a true passion for helping others.
This is an in-office position, please only apply if you are able to make the commute to our office located in Portland, OR.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage incoming calls.
- Handle customer complaints provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
- Provide excellent customer service.
You will receive:
- Base Salary plus commission for every policy produced, 5-star review, & appointment set
- $250/mo medical/dental/vision insurance reimbursement
- SIMPLE IRA retirement match up to 3%
- 3 weeks of PTO every year with unlimited carryover
- Licensing cost reimbursement after 90 days of employment
- $2k raise to base salary every 4-6 months for meeting a high level of production

Requirements:
- Property and Casualty insurance license (must be able to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Comfortable with making outbound calls.
- Genuinely excited to help customers.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative; loves to talk.
- Ability to empathize with and advocate for clients when necessary.
- Strong Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
